Lo-Hei 2003

The Lo Hei session on the 11 Feb 2003 was greeted with a
reasonably good turnout.
OSA would like to thank everyone who took time off and attended
our event.
It certainly helped in fostering some new friendships while reinforcing
the old ties.
Thanks to committee members, KC, Tuck Hong in particular for their
generous sponsorship of the food and of course, not forgetting those
who have attended also chipped in their share of potluck such as
Andrew, Kiang Sing and Barnie. Apologies if anyone was left out.
Such was the enthusiasm.
OSA wishes to welcome any of those GESSians out there who might
have reservations to just join in the fun in the future.
Cheers to a good year!

Welcome, Mr Giam
GESSOSA wishes All a Happy & Prosperous 2003, and welcomes
Mr. Victor Giam, our new Principal, to the GESSIAN Family!
condolences..
On a slightly sadder note, GESSOSA pays tribute to Mr. Steven Lee
(Class of 1956), who passed away on 26 Dec 2002.
Upon graduation from GESS, Mr. Lee joined Rediffusion and rose
to become one of the top DJs in four years. In 1963, when TV was
introduced here, Mr. Lee became the first newscaster in Singapore
as he was roped in for the inaugural 10-minute Radio Television
Singapore news bulletin.
Mr. Lee will always be remembered by many, particularly fellow classmates
such as Mr. George Tan & Mr. Michael Yap, as a man full of wits
and one with an 'indefatigable sense of humour'; and his deep, rich
bass voice shall live on in the hearts of many Singaporeans.
