It is a common trend to make MOVIES based on BOOKS.
It is not difficult to examine the reasons:
- BOOKS definitely came before MOVIES.
- BOOKS are usually good MOVIE scripts.
- BOOKS happen to be a really popular pastime for many people.
Most of these BOOK-based MOVIES are adapted from or based on well-known novels like The Da Vinci Code, Lord of The Rings, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
There are also some authors who wrote the BOOK almost the same time as the MOVIE was being filmed (Harry Potter: The Order of Phoenix).
When comparing the MOVIE with the BOOK, many readers commented that it is really hard to find a good BOOK-based MOVIE.
Most of the time, readers are disappointed that some classic part of the BOOK was taken out from the MOVIE. The most recent debates were the Harry Potter series and The Da Vinci Code.
However, there are also brilliant MOVIES which are said to be as good as, if not better, than the original version from the BOOKS.
With the combination of genius director, great actors and brilliant crew of movie-makers, scenes that you can only imagine are brought to life!
Some of these unforgettable BOOK-based MOVIES are War of the Worlds, Lord of the Rings and The Day after Tomorrow.
No matter how we criticize some of the BOOK-based MOVIES, we must say that there are many BOOKS that were formerly unheard of are now known to more people because of the MOVIES made from them.
I, for one, confess that I have never heard of the BOOK, Lord of the Rings, until the MOVIES have been made and talked about so much.
