Teachers' Day Awards - Celebrating our Superheroes
Achievement in National Street Soccer League 2011Our soccer team (comprising Ali, Shalihin, Hariz, Karthigesan and Guo En) is one of the four schools that qualified for the grand finals of the National Street Soccer League (NSSL) 2011 on Sunday, 18 Sep 11. After battling hard and winning two key matches, they got the ticket to play in the evening final where the Prime Minister is the guest of honour. Our boys are determined to repeat the success of the 2007 team and have our school name again engraved on the Lee Hsien Loong Challenge Trophy. Despite playing to the best of their abilities, they lost to a stronger team from Tampines Secondary School. For the brilliant efforts, they won $750 and runner-up trophies. We are sure that the memories of this tournament will add on to their quality school experiences in GESS. Congratulations!
