Our Achievements :

In 24 March 2011 we took part in the annual Inter-School Cross Country Championship with impressive results.

In the ‘B’ Division individual category for girls, Koh Yuan Zhen finished in 44th position out of 273 participants, with a timing of 00:19:14.72. In the ‘B’ Division individual category for boys, Vincent Cheong finished in 38th position out of 363 participants, with a timing of 00:17:33.24. Our team’s placing in the same Cross Country event was just as impressive. We came in the 17th position out of a total of 47 participating teams under the ‘B’ Division for girls. For the boys, our team finished in the 39th position out of a total of 67 participating teams.

The GESS Track and Field team also sent 22 participants in the 52nd National Inter-School Track and Field competition which took place between 13 Apr 2011 and 20 Apr 2011 at the Chua Chu Kang Stadium.

In this event, our best performer was Melissa Yee Wai Teng (1C).  She threw the shot put over 8.38 m to clinch the 8th position in the finals.
