Our Unit:

Since 1964, Gan Eng Seng School Corp has been striving forward. Our number of cadets has increased significantly as years went by, and more and more awards came our way. Our trainings are currently held bi-weekly. During our trainings, we conduct first aid lectures, home nursing lectures, Transportation of Casualty (TOC) training, foot drill training as well as physical training. Other than that, we occasionally conduct games to bond the unity in our unit.

We have participated in many public duties from the past to the present, in events like Malaysian Premiere League matches, Singapore Youth Festival, National Day Parade and the Chingay festival. We also rendered our first aid skills in many of our school’s sports events, for example the annual cross-country race as well as sports day. With our overwhelming hours of service, we have been awarded a trophy for public duty in zone 10.

We have attended many courses since the start of Gan Eng Seng School Corp. Courses that are commonly attended by our members would be the Civil Defence course, Basic and Advanced First Aid Courses, as well as Home Nursing courses. In our charity sector, we have been helping out in fund raising events like the Annual Flag Day and Walkathon. Gan Eng Seng Corp has been the top collector for both events, in 2006 and 2008.

Our Activities:

Our members would go through an exciting phrase of programmes lined up for them. Activities such as camps are conducted. Members would get a chance to experience field cooking, building tents, trekking that one would not have tried before. Interesting courses such as civil defence, CPR courses are arranged for members to learn new skills. Also leisure activities are organised such as sentosa and malaysia trip and also the yearly zone presentation night where members get to enjoy themselves with a eight course dinner without having to pay. COOL isn't it ? Members also get to participate in major events such as Commissioning of Colours, National Day Parade, SYF Parade.

Our Achievements:

We have clinched GOLD for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 CCA award. Also, we attained the CHAMPIONS for 2004, 2006 footdrill competition. During the soccer competition, the girls managed to win the CHAMPIONS in both 2004 and 2006. For years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 first aid competitions, we had attained astonishing results. We clinched positions in all different categories like footdrill, first aid, home nursing, transportation of casualty and even got the best CPR award. Participated in the 26th SinMa First Aid / Nursing Competition and a member attained best award.
