The E-Club members run GESSCOVE, a café cum activity centre where Gessians can pop by after school hours to relax over a game of pool or table soccer as well as play board games, chit-chat over Snow Ice desserts or just chill out to some cool music. 2006

Our club took part in the Enterprising Youth Competition organized by the CDAC Redhill Student Service Centre and won the 1st Prize despite facing tough competition from our competitors. We also participated in the 4th National Trade Marks Competition and learnt about product branding.

2008

Our club sent a team of 6 members to take part in the National  Pushcart Challenge 2008 organised by Republic Polytechnic in support of the Global Enterpreneur Week. Our team won the ‘Most Patronized Pushcart’ Award and won our club a trophy and $500 cash.

2009

Our club sent a team of 10 members to participate in The Great TP SIFE Ice Cream Challenge and won 1st prize in the competition.

We also submitted a proposal for the Citibank-Youth for Causes and was one of the 100 teams selected for this project. In addition to learning valuable life lessons, having fun and working hard together, we also managed to raise a total of $7942.85 for Yong En Care Centre, our selected Non-Profit Organisation for the Youth for Causes social entrepreneurship programme.

2010

On 20 March 2010, our club sent 2 teams to participate in The Financial Literacy Challenge 2010. One of our teams emerged as champions and won for themselves $150 worth of board games and a challenge trophy for the school.

In April, we once again submitted a proposal for the Citibank-Youth for Causes social entrepreneurship programme and was one of the 100 teams selected for this project in 2010. Once again, we worked as a club to raise funds for our selected Non-Profit Organisation, Yong En Care Centre and managed to raise a total of $6,363.70.

2011

On 14 March, 6 of our E-Club members represented the school to participate in The Intellectual Games Challenge 2011. Our team, consisting of Ivy Pee Lee Shan (Sec 5A), Eleena Ho Wan Woon (Sec 4H), Chua Jun Qian (Sec 4F), Soo Ying Li (Sec 5A), Pon Malar (Sec 5A) and Jacqueline Tan Shi Yun (Sec 5A) emerged as the Overall Champions in the School Award Category and one of our teams also clinched the First Prize in the Team Award.

Raised $9200 for the Japan Disaster 2011 via our ‘Let Love Abide’ social entrepreneurship project organised in collaboration with the GESS Dragon Scouts, GESSOSA and Sec 2E (2011). We would like to thank our corporate sponsors GE Capital for matching our total school donations of $4200 dollar-to-dollar and Singapore River Cruise Pte Ltd for sponsoring 50 boxes of Fujifilm Instax Mini G Film to help kick start our fund-raising project.
